I took a break from restoring the bandsaw and made a couple turnings.
First is a small wooden box. It's by far the smallest I've done, but also turned out to be one of the most finely detailed. I don't know what kind of wood it is - a friend saw some branches on the side of the road and grabbed them for me. Whatever it is, it's MUCH harder than the maple, cedar, and cherry I've been turning lately. I love the dark streak in it too. If anybody has ideas as to what it is, I'd love to hear them. Finished with wipe-on poly.
